Any Time is Scooter Time!

Well....almost any time!! 1st June and Winter is officially here! along with a lot of rain to make staying at home and polishing our scooters a very attractive alternative to riding!

Here at the Central Coast Scooter Club we make sure we really enjoy most what we love best - Our Scooters (but shhh don't tell your other half! Not unless you tell them they are very welcome to come along too..and they are!)

For those of you who are viewing our site for the first time we would like to explain a bit about who we are.

The Central Coast Scooter Club is a "not for profit" CLUB for owners and riders of Motor Scooters.

Our members come from all walks of life - some retired and many still in paid employment - male and female - who enjoy catching up on a regular basis for rides and social events.

Our scooters range from the smallest to the larger makes around 650cc - you can read more of these statistics on the Who We Are page of this site.

The Central Coast of NSW is a place of great beauty with road networks and towns just begging to be explored by guys and girls on scooters.

During the past two years it has become obvious within our club that there are two distinct groups of owner/rider. We think of them as " the cafe society" rider and the open road explorers. In some respect the former group tends to be made up of the smaller capacity scooters whilst the latter involves 250cc and upwards - though this is not always the case and some like to ride with both.

We like to think that we cater for both groups in all rides and social events.

One of our creeds is to be respectful of road rules, act in a safe and pleasant manner, with the principal intention of illustrating to the public the benefits and enjoyment that can be realised by owning and riding a Motor Scooter.

Motor Scooters, like their relatives - "geared" Motor Cycles, are indeed built to explore the countryside however we do not conduct rides on dirt roads and prefer not to ride in the rain. Our rides are to enjoy!

Whether you are young or older, learner or seasoned rider, we welcome you all to come and join us, have a good time, and go to places you have either never explored or felt hesitant to go to on your own.

And one last word....

Be sure to visit this site again and again - as the pages here will continue to evolve so too will our club move forward to more exciting months ahead.

The pages are packed with lots of good reading and some great photos too! And don't forget that your contributions and suggestions are always welcome.
